Day 1

Arrive at Srinagar Airport and begin your exploration of the city.

Srinagar, the most peaceful city of Kashmir is also its most famous tourist place. This city has good connectivity with the rest of our country. However, if your budget is quite low, then you can opt for a train as well which travels to Udhampur, Jammu Tawi or Katra. All these locations are at a distance of 5 to 7 hours from Srinagar.

The most suitable way to reach the capital city of Kashmir is by hiring a cab or self-driving which might cost you between Rs. 1,800 to Rs. 2,000. Srinagar, the place is also the home to the most famous Mughal Gardens. This garden was built by the ancient and famous Mughal Emperor ‘Shah Jahan’.

There are also several amazing things that you can do in the city of Srinagar. You can go on a Shikara ride on the famous Dal Lake and many more.

Day 2

Sightseeing in Srinagar

After finishing your mouth watering breakfast, you can start your day by visiting Chashme Shahi Gardens and the Pari Mahal Garden. You can even start your day by visiting the Shankaracharya Temple. Here you can also get some stunning views of the lush green hills and mountains.

Paragliding and trekking are a must to do in Srinagar. You can even choose to go skiing and horse riding. To explore their local life, you can even visit the local market.

Day 3

Travel to Gulmarg and exploring the place

After your morning delicious breakfast, you can head towards Gulmarg, which is popularly known as the ‘Meadow of Flowers’. The place is a must-visit for any tourist on their trip to Kashmir as it is surely one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Gulmarg gets dark at an early time and hence it’s best to view the place with your family or friends post dinner. If you have enough time left then you can also even visit Yusmarg. If you want you can even give a shot to fresh water fishing.

Day 4

Travel to Sonamarg and explore the place

Again after completing your morning breakfast, you can visit Sonamarg from Srinagar.  Sonamarg is a hill station which is located to the northeast side of Srinagar. Sonamarg is lovingly known as the ‘Meadow of Gold’. The river ‘Sindh’ makes the place more popular. 

The unique thing about this lake is that it is frozen throughout the year. It is surrounded by snow-clad mountains as well as blooming flowers. The place is also famous for the beautiful and elegant walnut orchards that are a must visit.

Day 5

Travel to Pahalgam and explore the place

After having your morning breakfast, you can drive to Pahalgam which is located about 31 kms away from Sonamarg. Pahalgam is commonly known as the ‘valley of shepherds’. On the way to your journey you can visit the Awantipura ruins. It is an ancient and mythological temple that is over 1100 years old. The temple is built in the honour of The Great Lord Vishnu and was built by the King Awantivarman. You can take a walk to Baisaren,a beautiful small village surrounded with pine all around as well as fir forest offers a very pleasing view.

Day 6

Travel to Chandanwari

Chandanwari is a famous glacier point which also serves as the starting point to the sacred Amarnath Yatra. The place is an offbeat destination to enjoy some time in the midst of nature. It is one of the ancient and mythological places of pilgrimage for Hindus.

Then, you can visit Panchtarni, yet another perfect tourist and pilgrimage destination. You can also give a try to the local cuisine here. There are other plenty of activities you can take part in such as – climbing, trekking, horse ride, palanquin ride,and snow sledging.

Day 7

Travel back to Srinagar

After enjoying your last morning breakfast here you can travel back to Srinagar. If one is interested in Bird Watching then they can visit Manasbal Lake. You can also visit the Jamia Masjid which is such a pleasant place and is a threat to tourists’ eyes.

You may now go back to your hotel one last time and then depart to the airport/railway station to travel back to your sweet home.
